Meet Your Librarian
I have found my happy place serving the Klahanie community as the librarian at Challenger Elementary. This school is near and dear to my heart. Growing up in Klahanie and attending Challenger as a child, I am truly grateful for this full circle experience. One of my favorite things about being a specialist is continuing to work with students year after year and encouraging each child along their reading journey throughout their elementary school experience. The Teacher Librarians in the Issaquah School District teach library skills and organization, digital citizenship and responsibility, information literacy and research and emphasize reading engagement throughout every lesson. My passion for literacy lead me to become a librarian 9 years ago. I have been a classroom teacher, Title 1/LAP reading teacher and am living happily ever after as a librarian.
